CentreFlow uses a small number of cookies to operate the platform. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell cookie data to third parties.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use a web application. They allow the platform to remember certain information about your session, preferences, and how you use the service.
2. Cookies We Use
Essential Session Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function. Without them, you cannot log in or maintain an authenticated session.
- Session token: Maintains your authenticated login state across page loads
- CSRF token: Protects against cross-site request forgery attacks
These cookies are deleted when you close your browser or log out. They cannot be disabled without rendering the platform non-functional.
Authentication Cookies
When you log in to CentreFlow, we store an authentication token in your browser's session storage (not a traditional cookie, but functionally similar). This token:
- Contains your user ID and login timestamp
- Is validated server-side on each request
- Expires after a period of inactivity (typically 8 hours)
- Is cleared when you log out or your session expires
Preference Cookies
Where applicable, we may store lightweight preference data (such as sidebar state or last-visited page) in your browser's local storage to improve your experience. This data does not leave your device and is not sent to our servers.
Analytics Cookies
We may use anonymised analytics tools to understand how the platform is used, which features are most valuable, and where usability can be improved. Any analytics data collected is:
- Anonymised and not linked to individual identities
- Used only for internal product improvement
- Not shared or sold to third parties
3. Third-Party Cookies
Our payment provider, GoCardless, may set cookies during the billing setup process. These are governed by GoCardless's own privacy and cookie policy.
4. Managing Cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from using CentreFlow. Common browser cookie management guides:
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this cookie policy as the platform evolves. Any significant changes will be communicated to account holders. Continued use of CentreFlow constitutes acceptance of any updated cookie policy.
